| Twiggy was born in Neasden, England and became one of the world’s leading fashion models. She has since evolved into a multi-talented performer. Beginning with her starring role in Ken Russell’s The Boyfriend, Twiggy has appeared in the feature films W, The Blues Brothers, The Doctor & The Devils, Club Paradise and Madame Sousatzka. She has been the star of her own series for BBC Television and subsequently guest–starred on a number of television programs, including The Sonny & Cher Show, Night Out at the London Casino, The Music Will Never Stop and The Muppets. She garnered acclaim for her portrayal of Eliza Doolittle in Yorkshire Television’s production of Pygmalion with Robert Powell and starred as Hannah Chaplin in the Thames Television series Charlie The Kid. Her celebrated performance in the long-running Broadway hit musical My One and Only with Tommy Tune earned her rave reviews. Twiggy has also recorded several LPs. |
