Thomas Causey

Sound mixer THOMAS CAUSEY has done ten projects with Carpenter, dating back to his first foray into fright, Halloween, and continuing with The Fog, Escape from New York, The Thing, Christine, Starman, Big Trouble in Little China, Prince of Darkness, Village of the Damned, and Escape from LA.

The Louisiana native began his career while attending Tulane University, working as an apprentice on a British production film in New Orleans. Relocating to Los Angeles following college, he logged his first credit as a recordist on Carpenter’s Halloween.

He has worked on over three dozen feature films, winning an Oscar nomination for Dick Tracy. Other credits include Star Trek: Generations, The Crossing Guard, Blown Away, When a Man Loves A Woman, Hoffa, Lethal Weapon 3, Hot Shots, Hot Shots: Part Deux, The Fischer King, The Rocketeer, Naked Gun, Broadcast News, Ruthless People, Nuts and Gardens of Stone.
