| SHIRLEY WALKER (Composer) was the first woman selected to score a major motion picture for John Carpenters Memoirs of an Invisible Man. She worked with Carpenter again in 1996 on Escape From L.A. As a co-composer, Ms. Walker has collaborated with such well-known artists as Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman and Carmine Coppola. Her film credits include Chicago Joe & the Showgirl (with Zimmer), Nightbreak (with Elfman), Strike It Rich (with Cliff Eidelman), Paint It Black (with Jurgen Knieper) and The Black Stallion (with Coppola). She has also conducted and orchestrated such films as Backdraft, Defending Your Life, Edward Scissorhands, Pacific Heights, Arachnophobia, Darkman, Days of Thunder, Dick Tracy, Bird on a Wire, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, Batman, Scrooged, The Accused and Children of a Lesser God. |
