The Brooklyn native studied to become a chef at the renowned Culinary Institute of America before turning up the heat on his busy acting career with a stellar film debut as the leader of a burgeoning rock 'n' roll band in Eddie and the Cruisers.

Pare, who has 30 movies to his credit, also starred in the sequel, Eddie and the Cruisers II: Eddie Lives, Walter Hill's Streets of Fire, and the John Carpenter scripted thriller, The Philadelphia Experiment.

Additional film roles include The Women's Club, World Gone Wild, Moon 44, Dragonfight, Spanish Rose, Spirit, Into the Sun, Warriors, Sunset Heat, Deadly Heroes, Dangerous and Killing Streets. On the small screen, Pare starred in the CBS series, Houston Nights, the Showtime drama, Crosses, and made his professional acting debut as Tony Villicana in The Greatest American Hero.
