| An expert at vivid characterizations, HARRY DEAN STANTON is noted as playing villains, but in Escape From New York and Christine, director John Carpenter has cast him in roles that shows more of his talents as an actor. Stanton is among the best character actors around and one of the most steadily working character actors at that. His credits include such notable films as Cool Hand Luke, and Straight Time. He has been seen in Pat Garret and Billy The Kid, Rancho Deluxe, Missouri Breaks and as the engineering technician in the science fiction film Alien. He was also seen as a country-western star in The Rose and the sweaty, sinister dog-napper in The Black Marble. |
