FRANK ARMITAGE makes his feature film screenplay debut with They Live. Born in Arkham, Massachusetts, Armitage graduated from Whately College of the Arts with a Masters Degree in Philosophy. Soon after moving to southern California, he met director John Carpenter (a licensed helicopter pilot) at an air show at Point Magu Naval Air Station. They both shared a love for the works of H.P. Lovecraft, and Carpenter offered Armitage the opportunity to adapt Ray Nelsons short story "Eight OClock in the Morning" into a screenplay.
