| With Starman, Director of photography DONALD M. MORGAN, A.S.C., worked with John Carpenter for the third time, having previously worked on John Carpenters Elvis and Christine. Morgan worked as a film lab technician from 1953-64, and became an animation photographer for a short time. He quickly moved on to live action, which led to a job as an assistant aerial cameraman. He quickly got into the union and became a full fledged cinematographer. Morgans aerial background came in very handy on Starman, where he had to orchestrate airborne helicopter shots for a climactic crater sequence. |
