The Milwaukee native graduated from New York University with a BFA in acting before making her professional debut as Bradford Dillman’s college girlfriend in the Academy Award-winning hit, The Way We Were. She won acclaim for her role as Keanu Reeves’ mother in Tim Hunter’s 1987 drama, River’s Edge, and appeared in such motion pictures as Uncommon Valor, Hail to the Chief and The Great Bank Hoax.

On stage, Forslund won a Dramalogue Award for her Los Angeles theater role in Chekov’s Three Sisters. She has also appeared on Broadway in Habeus Corpus, Scapino, The Women and Unexpected Guests, and in the L.A. stagings of Temptation at the Mark Taper Forum and Shakespeare’s A Comedy of Errors.

A frequent television guest-star, the actress has logged roles in such series as thirtysomething, Murder, She Wrote, Magnum, P.I., Love Boat, Taxi, One Day At A Time, Trapper John and Fantasy Island. Her telefilm credits include Moviola, A Shining Season and Valentino.
