| ALEX DATCHER was born in Chicago, IL. She attended college at California State University at Northridge as a speech communications major, but eventually gave in to the lure of the open road. She spent time in New York City as a struggling artist and enjoyed a brief modeling career. Returning to Los Angeles, Datcher landed a leading role in regional theater productions of Belles at the Wilshire Theater, Yankee Wives and Shakin the Mess Outta Misery. The latter earned Alex the 1991 Dramalogue Award for Best Actress in a Dramatic Play. In addition to a recurring role on televisions critically acclaimed Beauty and the Beast, Datcher has enjoyed guest lead roles on In Living Color, Drexells Class, and Street Justice. Venturing into the motion picture arena, she first appeared in Full Moon Entertainments Netherworld, followed by the role of the leader of an all girl street gang in IRS Medias Rage and Honor. Her breakthrough role was alongside Wesley Snipes in the thriller Passenger 57. |
